Upper Avenue BIA – Fall Festival

The new Upper Avenue Business Improvement Association is hosting a fall festival on October 4th from 10am-2pm. It takes place on Avenue Rd. from Lawrence to Joicey, and there will be something for everyone. Come out and meet your neighbours, discover new local businesses, and hear from Deputy Mayor Mike Colle.
Avenue & Lawrence Development Update

Applications were settled at the OLT for the redevelopment of the northeast corner of Avenue Road and Lawrence Avenue West.
The new project will include:
• Two new residential buildings (13 and 14 storeys)
• A new public park at the corner of Avenue Road and Douglas Avenue
• New updated retail space on the ground floor of the residential buildings
• A new public road connecting Lawrence Avenue West and Douglas Avenue
Construction is expect to begin no earlier than Fall 2027.
Neighbourhood Improvements

BPRO is working on a plan to petition the city, via our local councilor’s office, to invest some of the amount collected from the recent developments in the area into improving various aspects of our neighbourhood. The streetscape and signage could definitely use some sprucing up. We would love your help in advocating for these upgrades with the city; if you are interested in contributing some time, please reply and let us know.
