Now, on to this week’s updates. This week we cover greener homes, heat pumps, and a reminder about the Upper Avenue fall festival.

Are you interested in improving your home’s energy efficiency but not sure where to start? Join Greener Homes Bedford Park for a free in-person event on Oct 2nd! Observe key steps of an energy audit live in a local neighbour’s home and participate in a Q&A with the energy advisor. Learn how to tell the age of your heating & cooling equipment, replacement options to improve efficiency, available rebate/loan programs and more! Do you have an aging furnace? Whether curious or in need of a furnace replacement consider attending a heat pump parties. The residents of Harbord Village have kindly agreed to host parties in their homes. Come and learn more about heat pumps from someone that already has one.

The new Upper Avenue Business Improvement Association is hosting a fall festival on October 4th from 10am-2pm. It takes place on Avenue Rd. from Lawrence to Joicey, and there will be something for everyone. Come out and meet your neighbours, discover new local businesses, and hear from Deputy Mayor Mike Colle.
