DEVELOPER APPLYING FOR A ‘MINOR’ VARIANCE TO ENLARGE THE PROPOSED BUILDING AT 3180 YONGE STREET
November 2022 – NYX Capital Corp. and BPRO AND LPRO reached a settlement before the Ontario Land Tribunal.
Now – Moncrest (formerly NYX Capital Corp.) is going to the Committee of Adjustment for approval to:
Add 4 more stories
Add 38 more units
Increase the overall building by a third
Shadows would fully cover houses on Woburn Avenue on both sides of the street in the morning, as well as across Yonge Street in the late afternoon.
The City’s Planning Department has recommended refusal of the application but the Committee of Adjustment may still approve the variance so it is important that the Committee hear from residents.
Next Steps
Application will be considered at North York Committee of Adjustment on: August 29
We need everyone on board. In 2021 the email and letter campaign about the proposed development was a HUGE success: 247 residents sent in their concerns to the City.
We again need your support. We are a volunteer-run organization and we cannot do it alone.
Please email your concerns to: North York Committee of Adjustment at coa.ny@toronto.ca
And copy BPRO at infor@bprotoronto.ca and Deputy Mayor and Councillor Mike Colle at councillor_colle8@toronto.ca
We want to see the Developer live up to the conditions of the mediated settlement.
THANK YOU !
